Sai's Teaching Philosophy

My strength in teaching is to get players to practice correctly and improve in tournament play.  Spending time practicing the same bad habits will result in the same bad scores.  My teaching philosophy is to keep it simple in order to improve my student’s enjoyment of the game.  Determining each individual’s goal, and making sure my student’s understand what we are trying to accomplish is my initial focus.

I have gone through Dave Peltz training and specialize in short game.   I am also a strong proponent of the Rotary Swing theory which has become very popular among PGA professionals over the past few years.  Due to my personal experience of its effectiveness, my teaching is highly influenced by this theory with some variations.

Both myself, and my students have experienced tremendous improvements in ball striking with this new approach.   However, considering each individual player’s uniqueness, I individualize my instruction to combine both the new and conventional swing techniques to fit each student’s abilities.

I am passionate about improving my student’s performance so they can enjoy the game more.  I especially love teaching children how values such as honesty and integrity apply not only to the game of golf, but are transferable life skills as well.  Preparing my young students for tournament play and developing their golf etiquette are my primary focus during playing lessons.
